 Bikers' Benefit Breakfast - November 11, 2007
by Carol
Warner
Steelhorse Classics hosted
a breakfast on November 11 to benefit Operation Family Fund. This charity
provides assistance to soldiers and/or their families who are injured or killed
in Iraq or elsewhere in the Global War on Terrorism.
It was a crisp, sunny fall
morning and 85 bikers descended on Steelhorse Classics to enjoy a hot breakfast
and admire the wide assortment of motorcycles ridden in by attendees. A great
mix of machines was represented including a 1938 Harley UL, KTM Super Duke, two
Russian Urals, a "storm" of BMWs ranging from 1950 through 2007, and various
models of Suzuki, Honda, Triumph, Yamaha, MV Agusta and Moto Guzzi.
Thirty bikers took off
mid-morning on a back roads ride to Shockhoe Bottom in Richmond organized by
Dean Blair of the Williamsburg Riders club.
Riders were generous in
their donations and $550 was raised for Operation Family Fund. Thank you to all
who participated to make this a successful event!
