Stewie from Family Guy

This Sunday Mike brought in a special guest Chesapeake Police Detective Jack Crimmins who explained about the need for a Public Safety Memorial and how they are raising the money to erect it. It begins with a motorcycle run on June 8th; the Chesapeake Public Safety Memorial Ride leaving the Chesapeake Court Building first bike out at 0930, last bike out at 1100.

Donations can be made to help build the memorial by visiting www.cpsmemorial.com

We also answered some questions from our listeners who called in during the second half of the show.

A listener in Newport News wanted to know where he could go to learn how to ride a motorcycle? Guess what, none of us could remember all of the locations. So to make life easy I have added a table to this page with the local MSF training sites and how to contact them.

Another caller was asking about throttle locking devices and we suggested using a wrist rest instead. I personally have used these devices and believe them to be far safer and they work. Click here to see some that are available from Whitehorse or you can find them at your local dealer.

To help you (and us) figure out when the show will be bumped for NASCAR I have added the NASCAR RACE SCHEDULE with those races highlighted that will cut Motorcycle Mania to one hour or less..
