This Sunday we had some old friends call in along with a new one… Aaron Frank from Motorcyclists Magazine along with Bid Sid and Matt Biberman the owner's of "Overtime Tina" the Vincent they ran at Maxton for a Land Speed Record. The first hour of the show was given up to them and the talk went from how to become a moto-journalist to overheated valve guides. The second half we covered motorcycle recalls and a lot more.

Here is a pic for you, one of Aaron on Tina going through the traps. Our best speed was 105.506, not too shabby a start in an open class (M/VG-650/4).
We did four runs before Tina decided to spit a push rod. We were done anyway.
Sid had decided the only way to push the speed up was to go to a larger carb bowl and do some head work. Of course after the ex valve seized we realized another reason we were getting all we had hoped out of her.
Still we lucked out. The valve guide was simply too tight and it scored the valve stem and the guide but beyond that, nothing. We will ream it and polish the valve and refit. It is really like the bike said, that's it, we're going home!
I will forward you Aaron's email: he is a great guy and would be happy to do the show.
best
Matthew

Hello , its Sid . I overheard parts of your conversation with Matthew earlier , and your keen observations , real interest and personal experience really set you apart among talk show hosts . Really refreshing after hearing so many ask questions about something they know so little about . Keep up the good work , - Tidewater is truly lucky to have you on the airwaves there .

Here are the photos of the Australian built Irving / Vincent built by the two Horner brothers , Ken and Barry . Horner visited us in Louisville . In the group shot Horner is seen to my left . Seen here in our shop . Matt to my right.
