Hello from Glendale CA.

I flew out to visit with my son. He is a new rider on a used Shadow 600. I rented a Heritage Softtail and took it through LA down Sunset strip to Santa Monica and Highway One to Ventura the first day. Stopped at Paradise Cove for dinner and back through the city.

The beaches were great the views of the mountains and water spectacular. A little long for the wife. The second day went up Angles Crest to 5000 ft and saw the desert mountains, drove the switchbacks and curves for several hours.

Proud and amazed with my son's ability and conservative approach to the dangers of traffic and roads with only a few months of experience. Took the "bus" back to the dealer the third day.

You better have a good restaurant picked out, cause I'm not happy taking a break out here on the side of the road.....
