They get the job done after awhile. They are not the most trusting people to work with. They had my bike for about 3 weeks and when I went to pick it up it had a plastic handled tack sticking out of the rear tire. the service manager(Dubb) walked over and pulled it out. He said that it wouldn't hurt the tire. He also said that the tire was alot thicker thaN the length of the tack(3/8") long. For some unkown reason I believed him and road the bike back to suffolk. The tire went flat and it is going to cost in excess of 3 hundred dollars and Dubb wants no part of it. Needless to say I won't be going back to their shop. If any of you read this please pass it along to the other suckers out there. Also don't expect to get your bike back clean. IT WON'T HAPPEN. I wrote 3 e-mails to big dog and they have not yet answered any of them.

I purchased my 2005 Big Dog BullDog from a dealer from Tampa. They were set up in Myrtle Beach during Bike Week's fall rally. They hurried the sale due to it being near closing on Saturday night. The bike had footpegs that obviously came off of another, much older bike. I completed the deal and rode the bike home to Suffolk the next day. I made it home incident free and was in love with my new purchase. It soon became clear that it had a leak in the air suspension which caused the bike to drag while cornering. This is where American Classics came to the rescue.

One call to American Classics got me in touch with the dealer Andy Frank. I knew immediately that I had a guy who was much different than most bike shop owners I've dealt with in the past. And what really scared me was that I didn't buy the bike from him so I didn't know how helpful he would be. He took my information and said he would call back after looking into the production number and see if any recalls were due. He called back within minutes to tell me that there were several bulletins on the bike and 2 of them should have been done before the selling dealer turned the bike over to a customer. He was going to be in Va Beach delivering another customers bike and offered to come by my work place and pick up the bike and transport it back to Richmond for repairs. He even offered to go back through Suffolk (out of his way) to pick the bike up from my house if needed. But the weather was great so I rode it to work and saved him the extra trip. The bike was repaired in days and was fixed right the first time! He even got those ugly footpegs covered under warranty, a service that my selling dealer did not offer. I also need to recognize the service mgr Terrel and the 3 mechanics D.R., Mike and Bobby . They are all top notch and will talk to you just like you'd hope for, straight forward and to the point. The cute blonde haired Jade in the showroom will be more than happy to relieve your pockets in exchange for some nice Big Dog clothing.

If you ever need any help with mechaincal issues or parts needs please don't hesitate to call them. Not to mention if you are in the market for a new Big Dog motorcycle, which has turned out to be one of the best motorcycles I've ever ridden.

They're easy to find too...just look for the tallest tv tower on Broad St and they are right under it.

My only regret is that I didn't buy the bike from Andy and American Classics. I try to make it up to them by sending anyone who shows interest in Big Dog motorcycles, parts, service and/or accessories.

MOTO EUROPA
Richmond.

About a year ago my wife bought me a used Ducati for my Birthday. I did not have a helmet, so I visited MOTO EUROPA figuring that I would be dealing with them in the future for any problems with my bike.(mistake) I found a helmet that fit, but not the color that I wanted, so the sales person says "not a problem." He gets on the phone and calls around to some dealer in California, and says that they (MotoEropa) can have it to me in 8 to 10 days.

About two weeks later I give them a call. Not only do they not remember me, but they can't find any record or sales slip of me. I told them that they should remember me just fine because my credit card was charged $450.00 three days after I ordered the helmet.

Well to make a long story short I finally get my helmet about 3 weeks later. Somehow my order kept getting lost in the paper-work. What was supposed to take 8 to 10 days took over a month. One good thing was that the manager was apologetic, and gave me a free shirt.

Wait--it's not over yet. I recently returned from over seas and realized my bike would not start. I make the hour and a half trip to Richmond (I live in Va Beach) explain the problems and drop it off. I return a week later to pick it up, which ends up taking 45 minutes because they could not find the keys. I was told they replaced the battery and the spark plugs. I had checked all those things myself, but I thought that these guys know better than me.

I get home and try to start my bike, but guess what? Nothing happens. I'm pretty irritated at this point. To make things better I find out that I am going over seas in support of Iraqi Freedom in three days. I get on the phone and finally get them to agree to come and pick-up my bike. The last word that I got from them before deploying was that they would pick my bike up within the next two days.

Upon returning from Iraq I find out that somehow, these guys have managed to give my wife a complete run around for two months. I call and talk to the manager who has the nerve to actually give me an attitude, and spouts off nothing but excuses about why they could'nt make the pickup. Well finally they pick it up.

It is in the shop as I am typing this. I just got word that they fixed the problem (a short). The problem itself is a $30.00 fix. Now they are saying, there is also a $120.00 pickup fee, and if I want it dropped off at my house it's another $120.00. Not only do I get all this great news , but I get it with a " Oh great- it's this guy again " attitude.

I can honestly say that I have never received such poor quality service from any establishment in my life.
