Offered to replace front tire for $30-$35, on or off the bike. I called the next day to see if they had time and was given the all clear. When I arrived, in the rain, I was told they couldn't see me until the next am. I returned Sat. am and was brought right in. The 20-30 min job took over an hour and the price went to $40, (added a tax on labor). When I left, I made it 1 block before my brake pad was dangling out of the caliper. I returned and it was fixed. The people in the shop are friendly, but I would consider taking repairs elsewhere. The estimate for replacement of my rear tire is $85-$90 or less than other shops quotes. I think I will stick with the other shops.

I recently had my 2000 K1200LT in for repair service due to a minor collision and the service dept noted a bearing noise in my final drive. The imminent failure of my final drive was confirmed by the presence of metal in the lubricant. Since this bike has been out of warranty for a couple of years I was on the hook for a significant repair bill. Well, Rick Moran, the service manager went to bat with BMW for me and got them to agree to pay for half of the repair (about $550). My thanks to Rick and all the good folks at Adventure BMW!

I would like to praise Adventure BMW for doing a recent repair and service on my 2001 BMW R1200C Montana. There was a problem with the rear end at the final drive and according to the service manager, Rick Moran that isn't supposed to happen ever, especially not within a 3 year time frame.

My bike had close to 47,000 miles on it when I brought it in and the warranty that came with the bike was for 36,000 miles or 3 years whichever came first. Rick talked to the regional BMW Manager and they decided that they would cover the cost as part of the warranty. I was told that the final drive cost about $1000.00! Since I received an early Christmas present I decided to go ahead and get the 48,000 mile service and I'm very happy with their work.

Adventure BMW has a lot of great clothes and accessories and they will be hosting their annual open house on Oct 30th from 10AM-4PM and they will be supplying lunch. According to my e-flyer from them they will be having in store discounts on clothes, etc.
cheers,

If anyone in the area has ever had an old Triumph or Harley they were working on then they've probably visited Jim and like myself have more than likely picked his brain for old school bike info. I've known Jim for eleven years now and have always had outstanding service from his shop. I don't know of anyone who was not satisfied with his service. The work he did on my latest creation(which is in the on line bike show) was outstanding. The parts support at real resonable rates was even better. Jim, thanks for everything.
Sincerely,
