Saturday 18 August.

The parts we need to keep going haven't arrived but we did find things to do that would keep the project moving forward. Over the last week I have assembled and installed the generator and its chrome covers. Now routing the wiring for the generator to the voltage regulator is the next challenge.

We also disassembled the starter cleaned it up and got most of it painted and ready to reassemble. I started prepping the inner primary cover by installing the bell crank for the starter solenoid, and the jack shaft for the starter with new o-rings and gasket. We should be able to install the inner primary cover next Saturday when the parts arrive sometime this week.

For fun during the week I took the old Tillison carburetor apart and cleaned it. It's been reassembled and sits on the bench looking pretty good. It's unfortunately not useable, its age and well it didn't work all that well when it was new. We are waiting for a new Bendix Carburetor to show up next week too. The old Tilly will just sit around looking pretty.

This week was pretty quite, it was just me and Estle, we spent a lot of time just talking and catching up. We took a break and I set up the DVD player in the garage and we watched the Demo disk for the Can Am Spyder, then we watched "Wild Hogs" and then caught up on some racing action on tape. None of this helped us get much done but we had some laughs and enjoyed each other's company.
