SLADES PARK MOTORCYCLE DIRT DRAGS 2011 TRACK RULES
Proper riding attire must be worn:
- Helmets with glasses, goggles or
full face with shield
- No tank tops or shorts
- No flip-flops, open toe, or
sandals of any kind
Class/Bike Requirements:
- Number plates are required
(Available at race tower)
- One rider per bike, one bike per
class
- Wheelie bars are okay
- Masking agents in gas are okay
Street Stock Class:
- Street stock bikes - no frame
changes.
- Exception - Can have exhaust
changes
- No on-off road tire. Must be
street tread tire
- Headlight, taillight and license
plate can be removed for safety.
- No struts
Open Class:
- Any size bike can be run as long
as on gasoline.
- No nitro, nitrous, alcohol, blower
or turbo
- Kill switch required
Top Fuel B:
- No Jap Bikes - Harley, Triumph,
Pushrod Type Motor only
- Must run nitro 80%, no nitrous or
blower
- Kill switch required
Top Fuel A:
- Anything goes; no gasoline
- Kill switch required
Rider Rules:
- 5 MPH speed limit in the pits and
on the return road
- Any rider endangering a spectator
will be DISQUALIFIED!
- Riders must sign-up and have
number plates displayed on the left side of the bike or on the front of the
bike, viewable from the tower.
- You must request a ticket at the
time of sign up in order to make a practice run. Practice is from 9 am to 11:30
am Sharp on Sunday only
- It is the responsibility of the
riders to mutually agree on the lane choice. If your opponent wants to flip a
coin for lane choice, you must go along with this decision. If you are running
the same opponent for a second time, the loser of the first coin flip will pick
the lane he wants. If you are running the same opponent the third time, you
will flip again.
- Less than four bikes signed up in
a class may be asked to move to the next class
- All runs are double elimination.
If the race is shorted due to weather or darkness after one full round has been
completed, there will be coin tosses to determine the winner. Any rider with no
losses will be included until a winner is determined.
- Riders will be called when their
class is ready to run. Any rider not at the start line by the last call; will
be given a loss. If you have a problem with your bike, you must notify the
official in the tower before the race and you will be placed at the end of your
class.
- If you are not about to race, you
must stay out of the staging and starting area
- 30 seconds to starting line is in
effect after first call to line
- All classes must be in the staging
area when their class is racing
- If two opponents tie, you will
return and keep the same lane
- Cool down times are as follows,
subject to weather: Street Legal - 15 minutes Pro Gas - 30 minutes Top Fuel -
30 minutes
- In the event your opponent red
lights, you must still complete your run
- Jumping the light, crossing the
center, or knocking over cones with the bike will result in an automatic loss
- When only two bikes are left in a
class and both riders red light, the run will be made over ONLY if both riders
have a previous loss
- Bye runs will be at the option of
the track official
- One helper per bike is allowed in
the staging/starting area
- Your bike is subject to
inspection at any given time
GENERAL RULES:
- Use of profane language or
complaining is prohibited
- Revving up engines near the tower
is prohibited. If you are found doing this, you will be asked to leave or
escorted off the premises
- No climbing on or across the fence
- No sitting on the fence
- The track official reserves the
right to ask anyone to leave the property if he or she is a danger to
themselves or others
- A rained out race ticket will be
honored at the following make up race
- Drugs, glass containers or Club
Colors are not allowed
- NO ADMISSION WITHOUT A TICKET
- No alcoholic beverages
VIOLATORS OF ANY OF
THE ABOVE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE GROUNDS WITH NO REFUND
