Man, did I catch heck for a mistake on my last report!! In the Pro Gas Class, John Wayne Fowler got first and Dan Fowler got second. He won so impressively that he turned around and did it again this race. Way to go John Wayne, I bet Dan is sorry he talked you into some upgrades on your bike!!

Sunday’s race was more what we expect in August instead of September, it was about 97 degrees and humid as all get out. We had gone to a friend’s wedding on Saturday where the reception was not air conditioned. Boy, two days of that high heat took it’s toll on me!! I’m sorry I didn’t do more visiting with folks on race day.

The crowd was a bit small because of the forecast, I’m sure. There were only 99 registered bikes in 19 classes. It was fun to have 2 bikes in the Street Stock Class and I think Biker Bud really enjoyed himself!!

This report will have to be short due to so many demands on my time right now. My other volunteer positions are Boy Scout Mom and PTSA Treasurer along with Red Cross Disaster Team Member.

The last race of the season is October 19 with October 26 as a rain date. If you haven’t made it out to a race all year, this is usually one of our biggest and best to plan to attend!!
