Dirt Drag Racing
Report #9 - 08 September 18, 2008 |
There were 20 classes with 152 registered riders. With such a
great turnout, there were 5 classes that were single elimination. This is
always a disappointment if the riders are used to a double elimination in their
class. The track staff did a great job getting the track ready quickly between
rounds and we were finished well before dark.
I was told early in the day that if Jason Plummer won in the Top
Fuel B Class, I was to report that he had won every race during the 2008 season
in that class. Paul Plummer is older than me, Mom always said to respect your
elders, so I figured I had better do as I was told!! Seriously, Congratulations
to Jason. Bill was happy to beat him at least now and then during the season!!
I will try to keep a report each month during our "off" season.
With a pretty busy schedule through December. Of course, as soon as I know the
schedule for next year, Ill post it right away. If any of you hear about
a track close by that is going to be up and running next year, please let me
know. I hear all kinds of rumors but none that are real yet.
