Happy '09 ya'll!! This should prove to be a great year. Start new
and enjoy every minute!! I had a major computer malfunction and was without it
at home for almost 2 weeks. Some antivirus was actually a virus the guy said.
Seems you can't know what to trust anymore. I still don't have Microsoft word
for some reason and lost a lot of pictures. Yeah and I was stupid and didn't
have the darn thing backed up.
This month's report was supposed to
have some great pictures that I took during the summer to help tell you about
the teams. I had interviewed a couple of different teams during the special
event on Labor Day weekend.
Do-All Racing
Brian Charity, Sr.
and his son Brian, Jr. have been racing for 5 years. The team is called Do-All
Racing. Mr. Charity has a home repair business called Do-All Home Improvement.
Brian Jr. is in 3rd grade at Harriet James Elementary. He competes in 2
different classes, Mini 80-90 4 wheel and 250 4 wheel. He started racing when
he was 4 and has 4 first place and 4 second place trophies.
Since I
can't share the great pictures I had wanted to, the ones attached are for the
under 12 crowd at the track. They were taken during the 2007 and 2008 racing
seasons.
This Sunday, January 25th, Departure Bikeworks is sponsoring
a Swap Meet at the Richmond Raceway Complex on East Laburnum Avenue in
Richmond. It is the 1st Annual HSM/Departure Bikeworks Motorcycle Swap Meet
from 9 to 4. Admission is $10.00 with kids free. Since they are kind enough to
be one of our sponsors at Slade's Park, it would be great if we supported them.
The website is www.departure.com.
Hopefully we'll have the schedule by
next report. So keep checking!!
