 Squirt 2002
March 10, 2008 The days are getting longer and spring is on the
way. Got your bike ready for the 2008 racing season?!?! We sure dont!!
But you guys in the Hog Gas and 500 Dirt Class better be ready, Jesse will be
back this season!! If you need some parts and pieces to help get ready, there
is a Swap Meet this Saturday, March 15th from 8 to 5 at Harrison Park in
Charles City. It is actually a Community Yard Sale and Swap Meet hosted by the
First Capitol Chapter of ABATE of Virginia. All the proceeds go to the Charles
City Elementary PTA. Any event that ultimately helps out kids is well worth a
visit. Its a bit of a drive from Hampton Roads but if we find one good
deal, it will be well worth it!! Maybe well see you there.
I hope
you have the new schedule on your calendar. The Labor Day weekend event is
shaping up to be extra fun. There is a band that will play in the evening on
Saturday. With my memory I should have written down their name, so Ill
add it to my next report.
Joe called me over the weekend to let you
guys know about a major safety change in the 4 wheel class. Any
4 wheeler in any class can now have a wheelie bar. It is not mandatory,
but will be allowed if you choose to have one.
I dont really have
much to tell you this report. I am just going to add a variety of pictures that
you havent seen before. Maybe Ill dig up some from the old days,
when we started back in 2000. I cant believe this is our 9th season
involved in this sport. We really have enjoyed it and it is definitely the best
as far as a family sport.
If you have been thinking about checking out
the track, come on out for the first race on April 20th. The first of the
season is usually a big turnout.
